Client: LK2 Architects
Project Location: Sleaford
This architectural photography project documents The Hub in Sleaford, a contemporary community arts venue designed by LK2 Architects, combining gallery, café and multi-use community spaces within a single building. The brief was to capture both the external architecture and the internal public spaces, highlighting how the building supports a range of cultural and social activities.

The shoot was carried out within a limited one-hour access window, working alongside staff preparing the venue and cleaning teams setting up for the day. This required an efficient, carefully planned shooting approach to cover the gallery, café and circulation spaces while maintaining a clean and uncluttered visual presentation.

Externally, early morning light provided a short but valuable opportunity to photograph the building within its riverside setting before cloud cover reduced the available light. The photography focused on showing the relationship between the building’s materials, massing and the surrounding townscape, as well as capturing aerial views to place the project within its wider context.

Internally, the gallery and café spaces feature clean, modern finishes, flexible display areas and generous natural light. The photography highlights the use of material textures, circulation routes and the way different functions—gallery, café and workshop spaces—are integrated within a single cohesive architectural scheme.

These photographs were produced for LK2 Architects’ portfolio and promotional use, forming part of my wider architectural photography work across Lincolnshire and the UK, documenting public buildings, cultural spaces and community-focused architecture.
