Client: Ikonografik Design
Project Location: Chesterfield
This architectural photography project documents a high-end new-build eco house in Chesterfield for Ikonografik Design, designed as a traditional family home (with a modern twist) with a strong focus on energy performance and sustainable construction. The brief was to capture both the external architecture and the internal living spaces, highlighting the quality of the design, materials and environmental considerations throughout the project.

The shoot presented rapidly changing weather conditions, with only a short window of sunlight between prolonged periods of rain. Exterior photography was therefore carefully timed and executed quickly to make the most of the available light. The unsettled conditions, however, created dramatic skies and strong directional lighting, which helped emphasise the form of the building and its setting within the surrounding landscape.

Internally, the house features a series of well-resolved living spaces, including loft-level rooms and bathrooms with skylights, alongside carefully detailed interiors that combine modern finishes with a warm, domestic character. The photography focused on capturing natural light, material textures and the spatial flow between rooms, as well as wider aerial views to show the property within its rural context.

These photographs were produced for Ikonografik’s portfolio and promotional use, forming part of my wider architectural photography work across Chesterfield, Derbyshire and the UK, documenting contemporary new-build homes, sustainable residential projects and high-end domestic architecture.
