This architectural photography commission documents a series of high-end residential projects in West London for Michael Hughes Architecture. The shoot was carried out over two days across four separate properties, each with its own distinct design approach and architectural character.
Michael Hughes Architecture consistently delivers thoughtful, well-resolved residential schemes, and this commission provided the opportunity to capture a range of interiors and exteriors that demonstrate both design intelligence and attention to detail. Each property presented different lighting conditions, materials and spatial arrangements, requiring a flexible and carefully considered photographic approach.
The photography focused on accurately representing the quality of the architecture, highlighting natural light, material finishes and the relationship between interior spaces and external environments. Particular attention was given to composition and vertical accuracy to ensure the architectural intent of each design was clearly communicated.
These photographs were produced for use across the architect’s portfolio and marketing materials, forming part of my wider architectural photography work across London and the UK, documenting high-end residential projects and contemporary domestic architecture.
