Client: PLP Smithywood
Project Location: Sheffield
This architectural and commercial photography project documents the PLP Smithywood logistics and warehouse development in Sheffield, capturing a large-scale industrial site designed for modern distribution and storage use. The brief was to produce both ground-level and aerial imagery that clearly communicates the scale, layout and functionality of the development.

The site comprises multiple warehouse units with extensive yard space, loading bays and vehicle access areas. The photography focused on clear, well-structured exterior compositions that show the form of the buildings, the circulation of vehicles and the relationship between individual units within the wider site.

Aerial photography formed a key part of the brief, allowing the full extent of the logistics park to be understood within its surrounding context, including nearby road infrastructure, residential areas and landscape. These wider views help position the development within the regional distribution network and demonstrate the scale of the project.

Internally, the warehouse spaces were photographed to show volume, structure and natural light, with clean compositions that highlight the flexibility and usability of the units for commercial tenants.

These photographs were produced for PLP’s marketing and promotional use, forming part of my wider architectural and commercial photography work across Sheffield and the UK, documenting industrial developments, logistics parks and large-scale commercial sites.
