Interiors Photography

Hi, I’m Dug Wilders, a professional photographer based in Sheffield and York. I work across the UK, specialising in capturing the built and natural environment. My approach is defined by technical precision and a commitment to “honest” composition – prioritising natural light and perspective over heavy digital processing.

Photographing an interior is about more than just showing the layout of a room; it is about capturing how a space feels to be in. Whether it is a heritage property, a modern office, or a luxury hospitality venue, I aim to translate the mood, the light, and the flow of the design into a two-dimensional image.

I approach interiors with a considered, architectural eye. Rather than using ultra-wide lenses to distort a room and make it look artificially large, I use specialist perspective-control lenses to keep lines straight and compositions natural. I prefer to work with available light whenever possible, supplementing it subtly only when necessary, to preserve the authentic atmosphere of the environment.

My work ranges from wide hero shots that establish a room’s context to intimate vignettes and details that showcase textures, materials, and craftsmanship. I work closely with interior designers, architects, and high-end estate agents to ensure the final images do justice to the thought and effort put into the design.
