Client: Peak Architects
Project Location: Chesterfield
This architectural photography project documents a traditional residential property in Chesterfield that has been extended with two substantial side additions, creating a larger family home while retaining the character of the original building. Commissioned by Peak Architects, the brief was to capture how the new extensions integrate with the existing house and its surrounding context.

The design makes strong use of contrasting materials to distinguish the contemporary additions from the original property, while maintaining a cohesive overall appearance. Exterior compositions focused on showing the relationship between the traditional architectural form and the scale of the new extensions, highlighting how the development enhances the presence of the home without overwhelming it.

The shoot took place on a clear autumn morning, with warm seasonal light emphasising material textures, façade detailing and the connection between the extensions and landscaped garden areas. Particular attention was given to capturing both wide establishing views and more detailed architectural elements that demonstrate the quality of the construction and design.

These photographs were produced for Peak Architects’ portfolio and promotional use, forming part of my wider architectural photography work across Chesterfield, Derbyshire and the UK, documenting residential extensions, reconfigurations and thoughtfully designed homes within established neighbourhood settings.
